Simon's Heart

Simon's Heart is a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac arrest in young people. GDT is working to rebuild the Simon's Heart webpage to enhance their online presence and amplify their social impact.

How to Join

This project has already been completed. It was finished in December of 2023 by Victoria and her team. If you are interested in a similar project, please check out our projects page to find an ongoing effort.

Members

Eamon Maloney

Eamon Maloney is a freshman at Georgetown University in the College of Arts and Sciences. He is from Falls Church, Virginia(about 30 minutes outside of DC). He is a Linguistics major, with a minor in Italian, and is a member of the Foreign Language and Linguistics Hager Scholars colloquium. In Eamon's free time, he enjoys playing and listening to music, reading(fav book is Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy), working out, and martial arts. Eamon also enjoys studying new languages, and is currently studying Russian and Latin outside of class. Eamon joined GDT in 2023 because he is interested in web design and is very passionate about creating user friendly websites.

Elise Zhu

Elise Zhu is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in math. After taking several classes in web development and AI in high school, she was drawn to continuing to build projects as a member of Georgetown Disruptive Tech. Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Elise also enjoys dancing, reading, and drinking bubble tea.

Asadullah Azimi

Asadullah is originally from Afghanistan and levied in India for 4 years. He is in the college of arts and science studying computer science. Apart from academics, he likes to spend his free time visiting new places, meeting friends and new people, volleyball is his favorite sport. He joined GDT to gain practical experience by working on real world projects.

Victoria Cheng

Victoria Cheng is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Computer Science. She is passionate about connecting with fellow tech enthusiasts and leveraging technology to serve her community. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Victoria also enjoys drawing, reading, and doing crosswords.
